What's Special About This Number?

What's Special About This Number?
Amazing list man. I was so surprised to see a specialty being attributed to not 1, not 10, not even 100 but 10000 numbers. Lots and lots of patience is required for any one to figure this out. I think it might be an a project of life time for the person who has done this, or he was paid heavily for doing this.

But this brings up the same thing which is if you want to mix and match a few things here and there and come up with something eye catching, you can certainly do that. Dude, cant even imagine some one spending (did i mean wasting) useful time in compiling such a listing. Hats off to the author!!

Conspiracy Theories

The Best Conspiracy Theories

This is an amazing article related to Conspiracy. I salute the people for their imagination.
I mean one day they would say Sonia Gandhi is Italian spy to India or Manmohan Singh is working as PM his revenge for the secret family lost during 84 riots.
People can come up with such unimaginable sequences that make us believe things which are just not possible. Each and every bit of the information on that page seems to be figment of imagination of some freak who is creeping nuisance into the society. Just for instance, for God's sake why would American government do a 9/11 which got down its pride, security expenses at airports beefed up so much. I just dont believe that a government would sanction such an inhuman act.

Either ways opinions are opinions and just thought i would put mine in as well.

Communication - Crux of all Evil

You can find the original on linuxkungfu

Typical Software Process no...

Amazing that how so many years, no one has been able to solve this problem. Everyone working in this industry realises that this is the biggest problem. I mean the the problem of communication. This is just one example in one field, but its preety easy to run into this situation in any field. Fundamental problem everywhere is communication. There are parts in this picture which are direct failure of communication, obviously there are some more which have to do with making money or bad processes etc. lets just analys each section in the graph
Communication problems with typically scenarios why that would happen
1. How the customer explained it vs what the customer really needed
Customer rep wanted to put it all down together, he consulted various people in the customer company but finally could not get the business process himeself. he gave

2. How the customer explained it vs How the Project Leader understood it
Clearly communication gap, again preconcieved notions major cause of failure

3. How the Project Leader understood it vs How the analyst designed it.
Analyst had a preconcieved notion about how the system should look, he got into the meeting with project leader

4. How the analyst designed it vs How the programmer wrote it -
programmer modified the requirement to suit the technology needs, he did not understand some parts. Wherever requirement was not clear he made assumptions

5. How the programmer wrote it Va how the project was documented -
Doc guy didnt understand some part, rest he linked with his past experience and got an angle of what he thought the system was.

6. How the programmer wrote it vs what operations installed

This will happen, its far to obvious a scenario, bad documentation added to the gravity of the situation

Software company process / monetary considerations drive rest of the failures like business analyst exaggerating the scenarios to get attention.

So in essense even all these are far to obvious things, happens to everyone everytimg but there is no visible solution to this problem...

Credit Card Data Leakage

New Winner For Most Credit Card Data Leaked
And people say that its in India /China/ Thailand where the credit card data leakage happens. There is no way that the frauds in those places were more than 1000 times lesser in magnitude.

These developed countries have so much more data leakage, every person that you transact with online or on phone will potentially ask for lot of personal information which would help him crack any damn bank account.
